Sherrie Anderson, Yura Ngura Indigenous Advisory Manager, Transgrid

Sherrie Anderson, a proud Biripi woman, is the Yura Ngura Indigenous Advisory Team Manager at Transgrid.

Responsible for the development and delivery of Transgrid’s Reconciliation Action Plan. Leading the Indigenous advisory team, Sherrie also oversees the implementation of plans and activities crucial throughout all stages of a project, including early engagement, environmental heritage assessments, and construction activities.

Committed to empowering Aboriginal people and communities to contribute to the creation of a reliable, affordable, and sustainable energy market whilst embracing community participation, engagement, and fostering strategic partnerships that go beyond compliance and supporting delivery partners to exceed industry targets, expand employment pathways, and influence Indigenous procurement expenditure.

With experience in engagement, strategy, organisational development, delivery on major projects and communication that supports Australia’s energy transition, Sherrie strives to enhance relationships, promote social license, and foster cultural sensitivity, driving opportunities for Indigenous engagement and connect communities in the pursuit of inclusivity and equity to create a brighter future for all.
