Rod Jones, GM Network Strategy & Planning, Ausnet

Rod joined AusNet in 2011 and has more than 25 years’ experience in the energy sector in a variety of roles including network planning, asset management, capital program delivery and business transformation. He is responsible for network strategy and planning across AusNet’s three regulated energy networks, including providing network connections for embedded generators and implementing distributed energy solutions.

Prior to joining AusNet, he held a number of transmission engineering and managerial roles at Transend, which is now known as TasNetworks.

Rod holds a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering from University of Tasmania and a Master of Business Administration from La Trobe University.
