Renee Kurowski, Acting Project Director – G-REZ, Ausnet

Renee is the Acting Project Director of AusNet’s G-REZ project and holds overall responsibility for the development of major transmission infrastructure to allow connection to new renewable energy generation developments in Gippsland.

An experienced senior manager with a diverse career spanning journalism, consulting, stakeholder engagement and corporate affairs across both the public and private sectors, Renee understands how to build support for major projects to ensure successful delivery while prioritising value for local communities.

As a Gippsland local with a long and varied career within the region, Renee understands what’s important to the local community and works to ensure that her approach to engagement and community partnerships reflects this.

Renee is a strong supporter of women in the energy sector previously leading work at AGL’s Loy Yang power station in her role as Senior Manager Corporate Affairs, supporting gender equity and raising awareness around family violence as well as running activities encouraging young women to consider a career in energy.
