Lisa Chiba, Chief Executive Officer, Momentum Energy

Lisa Chiba is the Managing Director of Momentum Energy, the mainland retailer of Hydro Tasmania, Australia’s largest generator of renewable energy. Momentum is independently rated as one of Australia’s greenest electricity retailers.

Lisa was appointed to the role in January 2022, having spent her career in a variety of leadership roles across retail utilities and financial services in Australia and the UK.

Lisa’s professional passions are promoting diversity and inclusion in the workforce; and helping businesses and households participate in Australia’s transition to a clean energy future. Lisa holds a Bachelor of Laws with honours and a Bachelor of Arts (Media and Communications) from the University of Melbourne. She is a mentor in the Clean Energy Council’s Women in Renewables mentoring program; a member of the Champions for Change Coalition energy group; and a member of the Energy Consumers Australia advisory group on consumer voices in the energy transition.
